Updated September 2023

Are you using Google Forms in your interior design business? We love using Google Forms, especially as a part of the onboarding and offboarding phases. It’s a great way to send out your design questionnaire and feedback form and allows your clients to submit their information online (rather than having to print out a form or work through a clunky word document).

In this week’s Client Experience Tech Tip, I’ll walk you through the most common questions we receive from our clients about using Google Forms, including:

  • which Google Form link to send to clients and where to find it so clients don’t edit YOUR master copy-yes, this has happened!!

  • how to get email notifications for each new response so you can thank your client right away and make them think you’re some sort of a wizard

  • where to personalize the completion message in your Google Forms so every little touchpoint feels elevated

Watch the two-minute Google Forms tutorial here.

If you’re unsure what to include in your onboarding process, our onboarding checklist has all the steps I recommend following once a client has paid and signed. You can check out the full list here.

Not sure how to ask for feedback or collect testimonials? Check out our Complete Guide to Requesting Testimonials and Feedback here.

And PS: Our Client Experience Templates for Interior Designers include a comprehensive design questionnaire and feedback questionnaire. Check them out in the Design Library
